Leah is finally old enough to join the Cherub Choir at church, which means Molly and Leah get to be in choir together until next year when Molly moves up. Today was their first time singing together, and they did great. Leah was a great singer and did great staying focused on what she was supposed to be doing.

Here's the whole performance, including two very well sung songs. I think this is the best they've ever done. Must be Leah's influence.

OK, Leah might have briefly acted a bit crazy once or twice.

Our new house means we have more room for hosting. So, we were happy to volunteer (well, be volunteered - thanks Drew ;) to host our small group's Christmas party.

With the addition of this card table, we had enough table space for everyone.

Molly and Leah loved playing with Mr. Andrew - our only bachelor attendee.

Olive was the only little visitor we had. She loved our stairs, and wanted to climb them over and over. She eventually found Molly and Leah’s rooms and the mice (Mickey and Minnie) therein, which was even more fun than the stairs.

We did our gift exchange as well. In it, everyone gets slips of paper with instructions like “trade with someone of the same gender” or “everyone pass their gift 3 to the left” on them. Lots of fun.

Molly and Leah were both able to participate VBS this year. They had a great week at Kingdom Rock, where kids stand strong for God! Jen taught Leah's preschool class, while Molly moved up to the Elementary group, finally getting to fully participate in all the awesomeness of VBS. Per tradition, the kids sang a couple of their songs in church the Sunday following VBS for your and my enjoyment.

With the school year back in session, the Cherub Choir is back in full swing. Molly had her first time singing in church for the year today.

The girls had a fun week with friends at Vacation Bible School. At the end of a fun and exhausting week they know that no matter what, trust God!

I taught Molly's class again, and we had a fun time learning, singing and dancing together. The singing and dancing extended into Molly's quiet time, which during VBS week was not so quiet! She sang this song over and over for almost 30 minutes one afternoon.

Leah got to experience part of VBS even while in the nursery. Several days she left the church declaring "That was a great day!" Leah had her own favorite song too. I recorded this one night sitting outside her door.

Amidst the fun of the birthday celebration weekend, Molly also sang a couple songs in church with her choir with a little accompaniment from me on the first song.

Molly sang with her choir again today in church. They sang three songs at two different services and loved it all the way. You can also see pictures on Flickr.

This was our first Christmas Eve service without Molly by our side. This was because she and the rest of her Cherub Choir were very involved in the service. This video is of the song they sang towards the beginning, Mary Had a Baby. Note that Molly appears to be the only one doing the hand motions they were taught. Later in there service they briefly appeared again as reindeer and then appeared as angels singing Gloria toward the end.
