Now that these birthday gifts have been given, I can show what I made. The dresses were for two of Molly's friends, Keira and Sadie.
This one was for my sweet niece, Emmie.
And it was finally warm enough for Molly to wear her dress on Mother's Day.
I'm linking up to Made by You Mondays at Skip to my Lou so you can see other fun, crafty things being made.

This morning I hosted a bubble burst painting playdate. After being rescheduled twice, it was finally a nice day to be outside! Molly did a great job. It was a good thing the bubble soap was only colored with food coloring since she liked to put the wand right up to her lips.
There was a lot of mommy help needed with painting.
There was even time for sliding and car rides.
Everyone had a great time and went home with some beautiful paintings!
If you are interested in trying bubble painting, mix 15 drops of food coloring with 4 oz. of bubble soap and you're set!

Today we ventured to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA along with a couple of Molly's friends from playgroup (and their parents). Molly was not into most of the rides, especialy the ones she had to ride by herself, but had a great time on the boat and train rides.
Here she is on her one and only solo ride.
We went for a ride on the monorail and got the best seats on the train - all the way in the back. We got to look out the back window like an old-fashioned station wagon.
The one fast ride Molly really wanted to do was the Fun Slide.
Keira won the award for the bravest kid today. She rode multiple rides by herself, and even had a pony ride!
And there's no better way to end the day than with ice cream!
It was a very successful first trip to the "Kingdom for Kids" and Molly (and mommy) crashed on the car ride home.

Last Saturday, Molly and I went to her friend Sadie's 2nd birthday party.
Molly enjoyed the cake and ice cream and insisted that it was "delicious!" She also surprised me by eating cherry tomatoes off my plate. So, she's had raw vegetables and dip several times with lunch this week!
The rain let up before the party so the kiddos could play outside some too.
Molly and Sadie had fun running up and down the hill in the backyard. Sadie kept saying "Come on, Molly!"

Molly got her first "non-mommy" haircut yesterday. Her hair was looking a bit out of control, and I did not want to tackle the curls or try to add a little bit of layers, so we went to the mall. There were a few tears shed as it started, and then as the lady was in her face to cut her bangs, but overall Molly did a great job.
As you can see, they use the same bribing techniques that we do to get Molly to sit still...cartoons!
Molly did so well that we headed to the playground and ate a treat, jelly beans!

Molly has been pulling my sunglasses out of my purse to play with, so I decided to pull hers out so she doesn't break mine. Last year, the glasses didn't stay on for more than 30 seconds, but now she has decided that it is fun to wear her sunglasses all the time.
We got lots of smiles today as we walked around the lake when they saw Molly in her sunglasses, and now her hat!

We had our 20 week ultrasound last week and got to see our little girl. She is measuring right on track. We have a follow-up ultrasound in a month to do an in-utero Echo since we have a family history of heart murmurs, and to check the progress of a few other things. Here are some pictures of her.

We had a great Easter celebrating our risen Lord. Molly started out her morning with a visit from the Easter bunny.
Her eggs were filled with jelly beans, which she started out only licking until I showed her to chew them. After she had eaten quite a few, I started to put them away (Molly had previously dumped them all on the table). So, she decided she had to shove as many as she could in her mouth to prevent them from being taken away!
After church, we headed to Grams and Pop's house for lunch and relaxed with the family for the day.

G'Mom and I took Molly to have her 2 year portraits done. It was a rough start, but we ended up with some adorable pictures of the birthday girl!

We've spent the past two days celebrating Molly's 2nd birthday! First we had a Blue's Clues party on Sunday. I decided to make her cake this year. It turned out cute, but I give credit to cake decorators - it's not as easy as I thought!
Along with themed snacks and "puppy ear" party hats, there was a Blue's playhouse,
presents,
cake and ice cream,
and lots of dancing!
Then today we celebrated just the three of us. We had pizza, cake, ice cream, and opened a few more gifts. Of course, Molly had to play with her newest toys before bed.
