We celebrated Molly's 4th birthday today (which you'll hear more about shortly). For now, here's a very happy girl getting sung to and blowing out some candles. Enjoy.
Molly wasn't the only one performing yesterday. Leah showed off a bit of her saxoflute skills as well.
Molly decided tonight that she wanted to sing into my microphone, so we found a song and she gave a performance. The foot-tapping thing is new, and often accompanied by a hand on the hip.
As Jen already said, we drove to Mooresville, NC, on Boxing Day to continue celebrating with her family. Mooresville had just gotten some snow, so several of us took the opportunity to do some sledding. This was actually Molly's first time sledding (yes, I know it's odd that we get plenty of snow in Maryland, but her first time sledding was in North Carolina). Molly had a blast, and even went by herself several times.
Christmas music isn't just great for singing, it's great for dancing as well.
Jen already talked a bit about Christmas morning, but here's a bit of video to give you more of a taste of it.
The day after our little fall snow (we ended up getting just 2-3 inches), Molly really wanted to go play in the snow. So, I took her out after lunch to play a bit before it all finished melting. As you can see, she had a ball throwing snowballs (and eating the snow as well).
Molly had her first gymnastics show this past weekend. A blog post on this is coming, but for now here's a short video of one of the stations from the show.
Since Molly's now in preschool, she gets to celebrate Halloween with her class. Parents were invited to come see them recite a couple poems and sing a song. As you can see, Molly was a bit excited. If you think you're hearing some extra voices, you're right, as there are more kids off to the right that I couldn't fit in the shot.
We had a full rainforest adventure while in Puerto Rico. Jen will write more about it soon, but I wanted to go ahead and show a short video of ziplining through the rainforest treetops. The first part I shot while zipping myself, then I shot Jen zipping towards me. Sorry there's not more video, but I wanted to experience the fun fully, so I put the camera away atfer this.
