It was a cooler day out on Saturday, which made it a great day to hit the playground. Molly, of course, was happy to have this outing (and Chad was happy to get to bring his new lenses along).

Leah wasn't as excited as Molly about the playground, but she did enjoy riding on the frog with Mommy.

Molly loves to swing high with Chad so they can go upside down, but she likes swinging on her belly when she's alone.

Grandaddy's boats were in need of some work, but cousin David was kind enough to come by to give us a boat ride. Molly was excited (and a little wind-blown).

Grandaddy's descendants got together for a low country boil, and Lisa was quick to find the baby she hadn't met yet.

We were all finally together to capture a picture of Grandaddy with all 12 of his great grandkids.

While Molly is taking swimming lessons, she's still quite skittish when it comes to the water. We were surprised when she wanted to go swimming in the river. So, Aunt Caroline put on her swimsuit and in they went.

Swimming for Molly only lasted a few mintues, so she joined the boys on the hammock.

Molly went with her Aunts to pick out polish for a special pedicure. She insisted on red paint, and that Mommy paint her toes. So much for the aunt-niece bonding! She was so excited to have her toes painted. Though she was a bit worried when she got in the tub and in her bed that the paint was going to come off.

Grandaddy's house has a closet with a bunch of toys from before Chad was born. Molly eventually found it, and we didn't see her for a little while.

After a few days, it was time to return to Maryland. Molly and Leah kept careful watch for the arrival of our plane at Savannah airport.

We got together with the Solana side of the family at Debbie and John's house. Amy brought her kids, and Molly was happy to have another little one to play with.

Leah and Jen chatted with Amy and Rose.

There was lots of socializing and eating together.

With the big kids otherwise occupied, Leah had her chance to claim the trains for herself.

We flew down to Savannah to see extended family. We stayed at Chad's grandad's house, as usual. Here's his backyard.

This hammock has magical powers. It can make even a 3-year-old relax.

The hammock can also be exciting when you get someone to push you this high.

Grandaddy's got a little scooter for going longer distances, and Molly loved riding on it.

Betty sang to Leah for quite a while, and Leah stared at her the entire time.

And she made sure to get the grown-ups making silly faces with her.

Molly's friend, Owen, had his birthday party at Pump It Up. Here's the birthday boy having some fun.

Owen and Ethan enjoyed wrestling amongst the balls.

Molly's favorite part was this inflatable mountain.

You had to run up the mountain with this velcro tag and see how high you could stick the tag on before sliding back down.

Ethan joined Molly in the fun.

After all the bouncing and running, everyone sang to Owen as he sat in his giant birthday chair.

Molly got a bunch of stickers as party favors, and they were perfect for Aunt Caroline's face!

The celebration continued with lunch at Grams and Pop's house. While waiting for lunch, Molly showed Grampa her iPad skills.

Grams made a great lunch, but this trifle was what many of us were really looking forward to!

Leah played peakaboo with everyone.

Leah now loves to say (with force) "boh." It's said with a deeper voice and lasts a few seconds. It's quite hilarious. You can see a video of it here.

The main event, Leah's baptism, arrived Sunday morning.

Molly assisted in pouring the water.

Leah did great! No tears, and she even gave some good smiles and clapped for everyone.

Grampa and G'Mom finished the baptism with some bell playing.

We were grateful that so much of our family could be with us for this special day.

We went to the pool for a little wet fun. The splash pad was a big favorite. We did a little jumping,

ducking under the water,

zooming through the water,

and finally, some swimming in the water.

Grampa, G'Mom, Aunt 'Chelle, Uncle J, Emmie, and Grammy all flew in for Leah's baptism. Molly and Leah were quick to get Grampa to read them a book.

Emmie tried to give Leah a kiss, but Leah wasn't a big fan of that idea.

Leah had a nice conversation with Grammy.

And then had a lot to say about her conversation with Grammy.

Molly and G'Mom created a masterpiece.

And all the girls had storytime with Uncle J.

Cousins are the best!

Molly is finally old enough to participate in Vacation Bible School. This year the kids went on an adventure on the high seas. She was so excited every morning when I told her we were going to Bible school again. I taught Molly's preschool class and we both had a great week learning that God's word is true, comforting, surprising, life-changing and for everyone! She loved singing and dancing to all of the songs and listened to the CD so much that I went to bed and woke up singing them! We even had an evening of singing with Uncle J, who led these songs for the kids at his church.

Molly's shirt was way too big for her, so I made a few tweaks using this tutorial and now she can finally wear her Bible school shirt!
