As you saw a few weeks ago here, we took a trip to Savannah to see my extended family. In particular, we had a big Weeks family reunion for the first time in a long time. This video shows a bit of the reunion.

“Let’s find baby ister”

Molly occasionally will tell me, "Let's find baby ister" and then proceed to lift up my shirt. She'll point to my belly button and say, "There she is!" We also talk about how big mommy's belly is, and she'll lift her shirt and say that she has a big belly too.

Today we had our last follow-up ultrasound. We took Molly to this one. She liked pointing out baby ister's mouth and nose. Yet again, everything looked great. The biggest surprise was when the ultrasound tech told us that Baby Girl is measuring 6 lbs. 6 oz. My response was, "Already?!" That explains those sweet chubby cheeks!

Books and Bows in Bed

Molly has been doing great sleeping in her big girl bed. On Saturday morning I went in to get her, and she had a book in bed with her. Seems as though she wanted to do a little early morning reading. However, Sunday's nap tops it all. Chad went in to get Molly up, and this is what he found in bed with her! No wonder it took her over 2 hours to fall asleep.

Over half of the bows on her bow holder were gone. There were more bows under the covers, one was inside her pillowcase, and several were under her bed. We're learning that discipline can be hard sometimes when the action is quite funny!

Blueberry Ice cream Sundae Playdate

Posted in Molly, Playdates on August 1st, 2009 by jen – 3 Comments

In honor of National Blueberry Month, we hosted a Blueberry Ice cream Sundae Playdate on Tuesday. I made homemade blueberry (from the blueberries we picked on our Memphis trip) and vanilla ice creams and had various sprinkles and toppings.

Everyone enjoyed eating ice cream before lunch!

After everyone left, Molly snuck back into the kitchen to eat more toppings. This is how I found her! And then she insisted on having sprinkles on her plate for lunch.
