I am a Christian, a husband, a dad, a son, a brother, a computer geek, a musician, a southerner outside the south, an out of shape athlete, an engineer, and a teetotaler (needed one word you might have to look up :-)
I am the Lead Software Architect for the Product Solutions Group at Tresys Technology. Tresys is known for their work with Security-Enhanced Linux. I like this since it means I get to work with computer security and open-source on a daily basis. Before Tresys, I worked for the government on similar stuff. I got my Master's Degree at Georgia Tech, where I majored in Computer Science and concentrated in Information Security. I did my undergrad at Auburn University, where I majored in Computer Engineering. Actually, my major was the Computer Option of the Electrical Engineering Department, but it's easier to just say computer engineering. It's a hardware engineering degree that was instantiated Fall of 2000.
At Auburn, I was an active member of the Auburn Wesley Foundation, which is the Methodist campus ministry. I actually served as the president of Wesley my senior year, as well as the summer director after graduation. In Atlanta, I was active at Mt. Pisgah UMC, where I played in the praise band. At Glen Mar, I have been active in a number of activities, including leading praise and worship and the Young Adult Bible Study.
My hobbies range from the geeky to the slightly less geeky. I am an avid Linux and Mac user, and am always involved in a project involving one of the two. I enjoy playing sports as well. I played tennis in high school, and have played some since then. I played in the K-Swiss Tennis League in Atlanta. I also enjoy music. Primarily, I listen to Christian music, such as 100 Portraits, Caedmon's Call, and Third Day. I play the acoustic guitar. I primarily play praise and worship music.
