August 2007

Our friends Travis and Kerry just had their first. His name is Owen, and here we are with them. You can tell how much things change in a few months for a baby looking at Owen and Molly side by side.

Molly likes being outside. Here she is on the bench on our front porch.

As always, Molly is crazy advanced. We figured she was ready to skip sippy cups and go straight to adult cups. (for those who think we're awful parents, she's not actually drinking anything. She's just playing with an empty cup).

We had a "Sellers Sunday" at church, with Caroline preaching, me leading music, and Pop and Grams ushering. Check out the video of Caroline's sermon and the video of the special music with me.

And here she is with me. Molly likes playing with others. Check out this video of her playing with Grampa and with me.

Our great kitchen remodel has begun. The first step was to remove the wallpaper in the breakfast room. We were lucky, as there was only one layer and it came off fairly easily. Stay tuned for additional pics of the kitchen transformation over the next month or two.

Molly's not quite crawling yet, but she still gets around (mostly by rolling). Here she's rolled to her bouncy seat and is playing with it from below. She also turns around (slowly) when on her belly. Check it out in this video.

Molly makes lots of facial expressions now. Many of them involve having her mouth wide open. We try to keep flies out of the house so she doesn't swallow too many. These expressions are even more fun when she can see them, as evidenced by this video of her playing in the mirror.

Molly's hand-eye coordination has improved a lot recently. She can grab things she wants fairly well (including my thumb).
