July 2006 - Chad's Crew
We arrived to see our team motto. The inside of this house was bare, but this note was tacked up to a stud.
Chad's crew's house was still in the early stages of repair. Most of the basic demolition was done, but we still had to pull out the ceiling, which involved taking down the ceiling fans.
And down comes the old ceiling.
We also removed much of the siding since it was rotten and put up new felt and siding.
It was incredibly hot, particularly later in the week. My thermometer actually hit 120 in the sun. Officially, in the shade it got up to 105 with 100% humidity. So, water breaks like these were very important, and we constantly had to make sure everyone was drinking enough.
The last day, we got to put a railing on the back porch.
Everybody pitched in on this last minute project.
