December 2006

The next morning Bob made beignets. I think Jeremy was impressed.

That evening, we went to Zoo Lights at the Memphis Zoo. They let you decorate your own Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

The Zoo Lights were fun, but sometimes you just need to take a rest.

Bob and Susan seem to be enjoying the carolers here.

Even though it was dark out, they still had the pandas out.

The next day was Christmas Eve. As usual, the Batson family quartet played handbells at the Christmas Eve service. But this year, we added a couple of acoustic guitars to get the whole family involved.

Jeremy was determined to feel a kick.

Christmas morning arrived, and gifts were everywhere. Here are matching "I Love My Daddy" and "I Love My Mommy" bibs. Clearly, she'll prefer the one on the left, but we won't tell Jen that.

I think Jen really likes this gift. You can never have enough tissue paper.

After celebrating Christmas with the Batsons, we had a delayed Christmas celebration with the Sellers back at our house in Maryland.

I think Caroline enjoyed the box most of all.
