Lee and Maddie came in town to see D.C., so we met them down there. We first went to the Jefferson Memorial.
From the Jefferson Memorial, we had a great view of the cherry blossom trees around the Tidal Basin, as well as the Washington Monument.
We also went to the National Zoo.
where we saw the 9 month old panda cub, Tai Shan up in a tree.
We saw a hippo up close and personal as well.
As well as a giraffe.
This baby elephant enjoyed pushing this tree stump over.
As always, we had to get a picture of this capybara (since we ate one in Venezuela a few years ago).
A few of us (including Chad) ran in the Clydes 10K. It was a chilly morning for a run.
We had a cheering section as well.
The 10K came with brunch afterwards, provided by Clydes. A good time was had by all.
