We had an event at the field near our house for the young adults in our church.
Several of us played ultimate frisbee, and remembered how out of shape we were.
Others played bocce.
We went to a party to say goodbye to Dawn and Dominic. We will miss them very much, but I'm sure they'll be happy back in Oklahoma.
Jen volunteered again for VBS at Glen Mar. This year's theme was Serengeti Trek, where kids are wild about God!
Jen taught the music and motions for all of the songs.
Each day Serengeti Betty visited us with a skit.
Although you can't see them, the kids are holding pictures of the daily memory buddies.
We even had kid involvement in determining who was the real Daniel.
Our evenings finished with a trip to the "Mane Event."
We were visited by a flock of flamingoes. This particular flock spends the winters at our church, but visits many of its members during the summer. I think Jen is surprised.
Some of the flamingoes apparently think they're monkeys. In case you're wondering what this is all about, it's a fun fundraiser for the youth at our church.
