We were sad to learn that Emmie had broken her arm earlier this week. So, we decided to do something to cheer her up. Emmie - this video is for you. Molly, Leah, Jen, and I hope it helps you feel a bit better.
The kids sang a couple of their Vacation Bible School songs for us in church today. We may have to separate Molly and Simon next time they are on stage together to keep Molly from pretending to eat Simon every so often. As you can see, she had a lot of fun.
On our drive down to Savannah, Molly decided to read to Leah (no, she's not actually reading, she just knows this book well). Sorry about the road noise. It might be hard to hear her.
I'm not sure if this came about because of the pirate pigs on Dora, the pirate episode of the Backyardigans, or the pirate in the What's in the Bible videos, but Leah now loves to pretend to be a pirate. This basically consists of her saying "Arrrrrrhhh!" followed by "I'm a pirate!" It's pretty hilarious.
Leah is now old enough to participate in bedtime story reading. She's got a few favorites that Jen often reads to her (yes, when we're both home Jen reads to Leah and I still read to Molly). So, just as we did with Molly a couple years ago, we decided to record Leah participating in a few of her favorite books.
Fair warning, the video is five and half minutes long and may take a bit to load on slower Internet connections.
For Mommy, Grams, G'Mom, and all the other mothers out there - Happy Mother's Day!
As you may have seen, Molly's first soccer game did not go well. The second one went much better. Here's a highlight reel of some of the best moments. Molly did great. She went into the game every time the coach told her to, and participated the entire time. After spending much of the last game on the sideline, that was a huge improvement.
As Jen mentioned, Uncle J organized an Easter egg hunt in their backyard for the little girls. Here's a little bit of footage from it.
This is a taste of a regular day around here. One of Molly and Leah's favorite activities is playing music in Molly's room and dancing around. So, here's a bit of them dancing.
